SUMP PUMP AND PIT INSTALLATION
- The process begins by placing the sump liner into the pre-dug hole, which is then wrapped with filter cloth to ensure durability and filtration.
- Clear gravel is added around the liner, filling the surrounding area to facilitate effective drainage.
- A cast iron submersible sump pump is carefully positioned at the bottom of the liner. It is connected to automatically discharge the water that collects.
- Finally, a lid is securely fastened onto the pit, and the concrete floor above is meticulously restored to its original condition.

INTERNAL WEEPING TILE WATERPROOFING SYSTEM
An Interior Weeping Tile Waterproofing System is designed to effectively manage water that seeps through block walls or rises from the floor. This system ensures a dry and protected basement environment.
- Drainage Board/Membrane acts as the first line of defense against moisture, directing it away from the basement walls.
- Weeping Tile is installed along the basement’s perimeter to collect and reroute water effectively.
- Drain Holes in Block allow trapped water within the walls to escape, preventing buildup and pressure.
- Gravel improves water flow towards the weeping tile, enhancing drainage efficiency.
- Sump Pit and Pump captures and expels water from the weeping tile system, protecting the foundation.
- New Concrete Floor seals the system and provides a clean, refreshed surface in the basement.

Battery Back-Up Systems are crucial for maintaining the operation of sump pumps during power outages. These systems provide reliable power to ensure continuous protection against water damage.
- Positioned above the primary pump, a secondary pump serves as a robust backup to take over if the main pump fails or additional capacity is needed.
- A high-capacity marine battery, continuously kept fully charged by a trickle charger, powers the secondary pump, ensuring it operates effectively during electrical outages.
- Both the primary and backup pumps utilize the same discharge pipe, enhancing the efficiency of the system and simplifying the setup.
